A Pleasant Surprise & A Painful Defeat

Got a phone call before i left my house. It was a pleasant and sweet surprise. Its sad to hear pple cry, especially her. I miss her, miss her voice, miss her laughter, her everything. Then came our first league game in the Ametuer Football League. Up against a team named SRC Deaf. And yes, the team consisted of deaf youngsters proberbly from Singapore Recreation Club. Its really amazing what love for football can do. Playing soccer isn't easy. Playing it without verbal communication makes the game even tougher. Things went wrong when we conceded a soft goal to the opponents. Miscommunication breakdown between defenders and 2nd choice keeper. Then of all things, my right boot gave way. The sole came off and i had to borrowed chiloong's boot. Thanks man. We managed to fight back and pulled 2 goals back. We were playing well. Until our keeper made another mistake. Dropping an easy catch allowing them to equalise. There goes the morale of the team. What more can i say or expect. Giving 2 soft goals away. To make things worse, referee gave a penalty 5mins to the end of the game for what is a clear cut no foul. Im not doubting his referee-ing ability, but did he do it out of sympathy or what?? I dunnoe. 3-2 the final score. Sad and disappointing. What a way to start the season off. Have a get a pair of new boots too. Hope the new boots can bring the best out of me in the next 13 games. Im feeling real lousy. Felt i disappointed some pple who had hope in me and wished me luck. I promise to do better next time. Its a promise i will try to fulfil.

and i miss jiahui.. 365 days ago i was at CGH weeping all the tears in me. 365 days later, as days go by, i hope the pain will reduce..
